Dr. Mark Laaser holds a PhD in religion and psychology from the University of Iowa and an MDiv from Princeton Theological Seminary. He is an internationally known author and speaker who has written six books, including Healing the Wounds of Sexual Addiction, Talking to Your Kids About Sex, and The Pornography Trap. He is also an adjunct faculty member at several graduate schools. He and Debbie started Faithful and True Ministries to counsel couples healing from sexual addiction.
Debbie Laaser has her BS from Iowa State University. She started and ran a national company for over twenty years, becoming president and CEO of its operations. She currently works full time with Mark at their counseling center providing support for women and counseling couples as a couple with Mark. She is the author of Shattered Vows and co-author with Mark of The Seven Desires of Every Heart. Debbie and Mark currently reside in Minnesota and have three grown children.
Sheri Trautmann is our Administrative Assistant, handling the numerous details of running our office, scheduling clients, answering informational questions and generally, making your experience with us inviting, comfortable and safe. She is the “wind beneath our wings”!
Peg Kirkvold is our Accounts Manager, overseeing all of our clients’ financial inquiries, billing and insurance needs. Peg organizes the many details of men, women and couples traveling to our workshops and trainings.
Mark Brouwer received his MDiv from Calvin Seminary. He helps lead the Men’s Workshop and teaches at various events, including training events at our center. He also coordinates the follow up program for our Men’s Workshops. He and his wife Charlene have been married 23 years and have 2 sons.
Douglas Frey holds a PhD in clinical psychology from San Diego University, a MA from Biola University from Bioloa University’s Rosemead School of Psychology, and a BA from Crown College. He has 25 years of counseling experience that includes experience in hospitals, clinics, and churches. Dr. Frey has taught at Bethel University and Crown College. He specializes in psychological testing and assessment, treating PTSD and trauma, counseling for addictions, grief and loss, life dissatisfaction and “stuckness,” and serves as a spiritual director. He has been married 30 years and has three grown children.
Greg Miller earned a DMin in pastoral care from Emory University. He is our Director of Men’s Workshops where he helps lead and facilitate small groups. He and his wife, Beth, also help facilitate the Couples’ Workshops. He and Beth reside just outside of Chicago, IL, and have two sons.
Beth Miller holds her M.A. from Bethel Seminary. For the last ten years she has developed and led marriage retreats and workshops for the local church. She offers individual and group coaching to our clients.
