Workshops for Women
Faithful & True Ministries offers a three-day workshop for women who are in relationship with a sexual addict. This intensive includes a small group opportunity to work on grieving, understanding addiction, exploring family of origin issues, coping, vision and personal growth. Within our counseling center that specializes in working with couples struggling with sexual purity, we believe we have created a safe environment for women to share and learn from those who have personally lived through the pain of addiction—and thrived in their marriages.
Debbie Laaser, B.S. and Beth Miller, M.A. will co-facilitate this workshop. Debbie has been involved in recovery with her husband for over 22 years, has been co-leading support groups for women since 2000, and has led numerous workshops for couples seeking to transform their marriages after sexual addiction. She is also a lay-counselor to many women, either via phone sessions or one-on-one counseling, and she counsels couples as a couple with Mark at the center she and Mark own together in Eden Prairie, Minnesota. Additionally, Debbie authored a book, Shattered Vows, that was released in 2008, depicting her story of transformation as well as the stories of many other women she has counseled on the journey.
Beth is a seasoned leader in Christian ministry, having led marriage enrichment programs at local churches for over ten years. Beth graduated from Bethel Seminary with a degree in Christian Transformational Leadership. She has also walked her own painful journey as the wife of a sexual addict for over four years, committed to a program of healing and personal growth that transformed her own marriage with her husband, Greg. Beth and Greg have recently joined the Laasers to facilitate the Couples’ Workshop Intensives that are held approximately four times each year at the Laaser’s counseling center. Beth also leads small group phone counseling and individual counseling to women who have been involved in our workshops. Beth has been gifted with talents to nurture and minister–and is truly a treasure to women seeking hope in the midst of their devastation of sexual betrayal.
Mark Laaser, PhD. will visit our workshop to share educational information about sexual addiction. He will also answer questions wives may have about their husbands’ sexual addiction or compulsivity.
